Band: SUENALO SOUND SYSTEM

(www.suenalomusic.com and www.myspace.com/suenalosoundsystem)

Miami, Florida, USA

I started playing guitar at 13 (1983) and grew up in heavy metal (Priest, Iron Maiden!).

Around 1996 I switched to bass and got more into jazz and funk. I have since stayed busy in the Miami area with my band, Suenalo Sound System, which combines funk with Latin rhythms – cumbia, salsa, reggaeton, etc.

We play about 120 gigs per year.

I have also toured all South America, Mexico and the US with Latin singer, Cristian Castro.

Some of my previously owned basses are:

Sadowsky 5-24

Ken Smith BSR-M

MTD 535

Rick Turner basses

Yamaha TRBIIL – 5

Many Fender Jazz and Precision

Fodera Monarch 4-string

Fender American Deluxe

Yamaha RBX 350 defretted

Rogue Beatle Bass

Acoustic Image Focus Head

Ampeg Portabass 2x10 and 1x10
This rig sounds OK and it is very portable, but there is nothing like an old Ampeg SVT with an 8x10!
