Hi Arni,

that's quite a collection you've got there.
I play bass in This Machine & Me, though I've been a guitar player mostly.

All the best from Belgium,

Mark

Mark Somers
Born in Wilrijk, Belgium in 1964.

Grew up on a diet of jazz (Montgomery, Eroll Garner and the like) and crooners/jazz singers (Sinatra, Ella).
Started playing at the age of 16, guitar at first.
Moved through blues, hardrock, funk, pop, folk and more.
Played in numerous Belgian bands, mostly my own, and then settled into
playing with mostly English musicians and gigging in England and Belgium.
But, all this on guitar. Bands like Street Legal, Short Cut To Trouble with Mhic McGlashan (
www.myspace.com/shortcuttotrouble) and Billy Jenkins.
Started to record at home around 2004 and playing bass, sax and drums for home use.
Joined THIS MACHINE & ME two years ago, first band as a bass player. (
www.myspace.com/thismachineandme ).
Have always been writing music, moslty in cooperation with other singers but recently
doing the singing on my own stuff myself.

As for gear, I've owned many guitars and amps but will only list the bass gear here.
Cort LBR4 bass which is for sale.
A dodgy right-handed-but-turned-around-and-made-fretless-precision-copy and
a brand new Fender Jazz Bass USA Deluxe. Very nice.
Amp : Markbass Little Mark 450 and Markbass 4x10 cab.
No effects what so ever.
Would like to get onto electric double bass at some point.
