Band: Liquid Blue

Orange Park / Florida / USA

I started playing bass 24 years ago when I was 7 years old. I was initially influenced by Paul McCartney. But my taste for more complex music and rhythms led me to Stanley Clarke, John Taylor, Sting and most importantly, Geddy Lee. Most teachers refused to teach me because I play the bass left-handed, but strung right handed. So I taught myself. I learned every song I could get my hands on. I studied books, tapes, and records. I started playing in bands when I was 12. I have played in a variety of bands over the years. Currently, I play with Liquid Blue, a Florida-based rock band. We are getting ready to go into the studio to record the group's second CD. My current influences include Jaco Pastorius, Geddy Lee, and Flea.

INSTRUMENTS----I own 9 Wal Basses, both fretted and fretless, with 2 more on the way. I built the walbasses.com web site for my friend Pete Stevens. I have co-designed a new Wal which will be a 4-string fretless with a 3-octave fingerboard. That should be ready sometime in April.

SOUND-----My signal chain starts with an Eden Navigator preamp. I also use an Alesis compressor, Carvin power amp, and a 4x10 Eden XLT cabinet.
