My name is Chris Q and I currently live in Asheville, North Carolina. I am originally from Newfoundland and grew up in Boston.

I've been playing bass for a little over twenty years and have been actively touring for fifteen. I played in a bluegrass-zydeco-klezmer-jazz band for about eight years called Hypnotic Clambake. Spent fours years in the Boston based jam band Jiggle the Handle and three years in a jamgrass band called the Recipe.

I'm currently getting a new project off the ground. It's called the LowDogs and is primarily acoustic improv americana. Think bluegrass meets jazz meets weird. I've also done some session work in Boston and L.A. playing blues, jazz, folk and hip hop.
If I'm not on the road for more than a week I start to go crazy, you know what I mean!
