When I go into the studio I usually bring at least 5 basses
with me and have up to 15 favorite instruments available for covering all kinds of

1. An MTD 6-string fretted has been a work horse in the studio for me. It has a Tiger Myrtle on Poplar body with a Wenge bolt- on neck and fingerboard, Hipshot bridge and tuners and proprietary, Bartolini pickups and electronics. |

2. A Yamaha TRB 5-string fretted bass: with a golden yellow finished Maple body and a super wood neck, Rosewood fingerboard, Yamaha pickups and pre- amp and Yamaha tunning pegs. |

3. An Original Mike Tobias Basic (pre-1992) 6-string fretless bass:with an Amber finish, the entire body is made of Birdseye Maple with a neck through Maple neck and a Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, Bartolini pickups and pre- amp and Tobias tunning pegs. |

4. An Original Mike Tobias Basic (pre- 1987) 5-string fretless bass: with a solid red finish made completely out of Maple, neck through with a Rosewood fingerboard and Bartolini pickups and pre- amp and Tobias tunning pegs. |

5. An Original Mike Tobias Basic (pre- 1988) 5-string fretted bass: made of solid Babinga wood with a neck through Wenge neck, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard, Bartolini pickups and pre- amp and Tobias tunning pegs. |

6. A Jim Tyler 5-string fretted bass: with an Ash body and a bolt- on Maple neck, a Rosewood fingerboard, with Bartolini pickups and pre- ampand Hipshot tunning pegs. |

7. An Original Tobias Killer Bee 5-string fretted bass: Made with a Dark Blue finish Swamp Ash body and a bolt- on Maple neck, a Rosewood fingerboard, Bartolini pickups and pre- amp, Tobias tunning pegs. |

8. A Yamaha Acoustic 5-string fretless bass: made with a Gray seethrough finish Spruce body and neck through, special Yamaha pickups, Ebony fingerboard, Yamaha tunning pegs. |

9. A Yamaha 1200s 8-string fretted bass: with a Red Garnet see- through finish Maple body and neck through, Rosewood fingerboard, Yamaha pickups pre- amp and tunning pegs. |

10. A Reverend Rumblefish 5-string fretted bass: with a wood based Phenolic top and back, laminated to a six inch wide Mahogany center block, a bolt- on Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard and Reverend J- style Joe Naylor designed pickups. |

11. A Yamaha BB series 6-string Midi bass: with a natural finish Maple body and neck, Yamaha pickups and retro- fitted Yamaha Midi system, Yamaha pre- amp and tunning pegs. |

12. A Moon 4-string bass: with an Ash body and a bolt- on Maple neck, a Rosewood fingerboard, Bartolini pickups and Hip shot tunning pegs. |

13. An MTD 7-string fretted bass: strung with a high F string, it has a Myrtle Burl on Poplar body with a Wenge neck and fingerboard, Hipshot bridge and tuners and proprietary Bartolini pickups and electronics. |

14. A Roscoe 7-string fretted bass: strung with a low F# string, it has a Birdseye Maple top and a Mahogany back, It has a super active 3-way (18v) Bartolini pre- amp, Bartolini pickups and pre- amp and Hip shot tunning pegs. |
