Band: Final Snapp Band

Inglewood, California / U.S.A.

Hello Arni,
Please accept my apology for the delay in getting back to you. I've been real busy the past few months. I've performed with The Johnny Otis Show and Phillip Walker's Blues Band and we toured Belgium; Oslo, Norway; Finland; Switzerland; Italy; France, the list is too long to put them on this email.
Best wishes from Inglewood, California
(Southern California)

Pony began playing the Bass when he was eleven years old. A unique playing style, Pony plays left-handed, with a right-hand bass, turned backwards, flipped upside down with the G-string on top.

Pony attended High School in Los Angeles, California. He later enlisted in the Armed services where he continued to play the bass at the NCO club on weekends.

1985 marked the beginning of Pony's professional career, first touring with the Johnny Otis Show where he played Carnige Hall with Ella Fitzgerald, and Bull Moose Jackson, he then went on to Switzerland, Italy, France, Holland, and Finland.

Pony joined Hank Ballard and the Midnighters where he toured Canada and played the Casinos in Mississippi, Louisiana, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Studio work included "Nut Pony" and "Funk It Up" with Johnny Otis and with Manhattan Transfer/Hank Ballard and the Midnighters on "Keep the Fat".

He performed with Etta James at the Long Beach Blues Festival and variety of lounges throughout the Los Angeles area. While with the Phillip Walker Blues Band, Pony toured the United States as well as abroad. Pony later joined the Ike Turner Revue where he again performed in Las Vegas, New Orleans, Biloxi and Los Angeles.

Pony is also a talented songwriter and producer. To his credit he has composed several arrangements, Once Upon a Time, Ticket to Love, Gonna Be There, Move on with your Life, Checkin Out Myself, and a host of instrumentals and bass solos. Pony's CD's have done well overseas, i.e Japan, Spain, Italy and Germany.

In 1999 Pony formed his very own record company "Pony Records" with his partner Patricia Irvin. The record company had been a life long dream of Pony's, it took and Patricia and Pony together to make his dream a reality.

Pony's band "Final Snapp" play a wide variety of music, Blues, R&B, and Oldies. Under Pony's leadership the band performs a great deal for the seniors in the Los Angeles area at facilities such as adult care homes, rehabilitation hospitals, residential care facilities, adult day care centers, retirement facilities, senior centers and more. Pony is a true believer in playing the music that the seniors can relate to and appreciate; he enjoys taking the music to the seniors, especially those individuals that aren't able to make it to the nightclub venues.

Pony and Patricia have established a program for seniors, "Jam Session" which allows seniors that wish to participate in music as a means of therapy the opportunity to do so in a comfortable, safe, friendly, and familiar environment; their center/facility. An interactive program, Jam Session allows the seniors at various facilities and day care centers to interact socially with others through music and dance.

Pony provides a few of the instruments; the seniors perform, listen and dance. This program proves to work amongst the seniors in the Los Angeles area. Pony's goal is to one day be able offer "Jam Session" at every facility for seniors throughout the country.

So keep your ear to the gound, and when you hear Pony Records gallop through your town, come out and say HELLO!
